Top officials of the UP College of Engineering (CoE) were in UP Mindanao on April 23, 2026, to meet UP Mindanao Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao and College of Science and Mathematics Dean Cleto Nañola Jr.
CoE Dean Maria Antonia Tanchuling was accompanied by Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Leslie Joy Diaz, Associate Dean for Student Affairs Djoan Kate Tungpalan, and Prof. Mary Donnabelle Balela, Program Coordinator for Metallurgical Engineering. Their talks likely dwelt on plans for additional engineering courses in UP Mindanao, as Dean Nañola is the point person for these proposals. At present, UP Mindanao is hosting classes for the off-site postgraduate engineering programs of the UP College of Engineering.
