Officials of the UP Professional School for Agriculture and the Environment (PSAE) called on Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao to discuss opportunities for collaboration and resource-sharing in a visit on February 4, 2025. The UP PSAE was initiated by UP Los Banos to offer postgraduate degrees for Mindanao-based professionals. It has been in operation for a few years and will be permanently located in the Agriya Township in Panabo City, Davao del Norte Province.
UP PSAE director Dr. Sheryl A. Yap introduced the possibility of sharing facilities or expertise between the PSAE and UP Mindanao, such as using laboratories or cross-enrollment of their students in UPMin for general courses. Chancellor Murao expressed her willingness to cooperate with the PSAE plans and mentioned College of Science and Mathematics Dean Cleto Nanola for the coordination of laboratory schedules. Director Yap was accompanied during the visit by PSAE colleagues Dr. Nina Gracel Dimaano and administrative officer Mr. Ritchie M. Flores.
