Ms. Anita Aytona, board member of the UP Alumni Association of British Columbia (UPAA-BC), and Mr. Tony Aytona, met their UPAA-BC scholars in a campus visit on February 21, 2025. They were accompanied by Ms. Zony Reyes, UP Mindanao Foundation president, and Dr. Espiridion “Badjun” Reyes, and were met upon arrival by Mr. Rene Estremera, public relations officer.
The group met scholar Dianne Magno, 1st-year BS Food Technology, at the College of Science and Mathematics. They proceeded to the Elias B. Lopez Hall Dormitory where they were met by scholar Joshua Taboada, 1st-year BA English (Creative Writing), and taken on a dormitory tour by Office of Student Affairs staff Shela Camilotes and Ann Batomalaque.
The visitors and their scholars had lunch together to culminate the visit.
The UPAA-BC scholarship is one of various scholarships coordinated by the UP Mindanao Foundation, as part of their expanded scholarship program.
