The University of the Philippines Mindanao proudly demonstrated excellence in talent, scholarship, and competitive spirit at SIKLAB: The Academic, Culture, and Arts Festival 2026, organized by the Davao Association of Colleges and Universities Network (DACUN). With the theme “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting,” the festival was held on 15 February 2026 at the Philippine Women’s College.

As the host institution for this year’s SIKLAB, UP Mindanao set a vibrant and dynamic tone for the celebration. The opening program featured performances from UP Mindanao’s homegrown talents. UP Mindanao Agipo energized the audience with an electrifying musical number, while Don James Estomo delivered a compelling rendition of Feeling Good popularized by Michael Bublé. The UP Mindanao Dance Ensemble captivated attendees with a showcase of cultural dances that highlighted artistic discipline and heritage.

The UP Mindanao Koro Kantahanay likewise impressed the audience with stirring choral performances of O Magnum Mysterium arranged by Michael John Trotta, and Marry You by Bruno Mars, arranged for choir by Ily Matthew Maniano.
Beyond the stage, UP Mindanao delegates distinguished themselves across multiple competitive events. The university secured 2nd Runner-Up in Extemporaneous Speaking, 1st Runner-Up in Storytelling, Champion in Dancesport (Modern Category), and 2nd Runner-Up in Dancesport (Latin Category).

UP Mindanao also excelled in traditional Filipino games (Larong Pinoy), earning 2nd Place in Maria Went to Town and Champion for Chinese Garter and Sipa.
Through these achievements, UP Mindanao reaffirmed its commitment to holistic excellence—fostering academic distinction, cultural expression, and athletic prowess.
The University extends its congratulations to all delegates, coaches, and organizers whose dedication and passion brought pride and honor to the UP Mindanao community.
