
Some 40 personnel joined the Second Batch of the cascading UP Mindanao Linang: Mga Serye ng Pagsasanay para sa Pagpapaunlad ng Paglilingkod sa Pamantasan at Bayan, held on January 29 and 30, and February 3, 2026, at the CARIM Building, UP Mindanao.
The second batch heard lectures and engaged in workshops throughout the three days devoted to the Linang modules of Relationship Operations and Sensitivity Enhancement Seminar (ROSES), the Work Attitude and Values Enhancement Seminar (WAVES), and Completed Staff Work (CSW).
The ROSES trainers were Asst. Prof. Roxanne T. Aguinaldo of the School of Management (SOM) and Director Michael Gatela of Pahinungod Mindanao
The WAVES trainers were Assoc. Prof. Maria Stella R. Salazar, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and SOM Dean Aurelia Luzviminda V. Gomez. Asst Vice President Tiffany Adelaine Tan, Linang project lead, graced Day 2 to give inputs.
The CSW trainers were College Business Manager and Budget Office OIC Ms. Joan Garcia, Vice Chancellor for Administration Asst. Prof. Leo Manuel Estaña, Land Reservation Management Officer Ms. Carol Balgos, and Supply and Property Management Office Chief Mr. Allan Villanueva. Mr. Pepito Dizon, Linang senior trainer, provided guidance and feedback to the UPMin Linang trainers on Day 3.
“Training in these modules brings out in us commitments to how we relate, how we work, and how we serve,” said VC Estaña in his closing remarks. “Through ROSES we strengthen trust and understanding, through WAVES we align our attitude and values with our shared purpose, and through Completed Staff Work we translate integrity and professionalism into decisive and responsible action,” he said.
