Members of the Technical Working Group for the establishment of the UP Mindanao School of Medicine visited the Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH) executives on March 27, 2025, to explore how DDH could serve as the base hospital for the future school of medicine.
DDH is a private tertiary hospital in Davao City. Currently, DDH has 15 departments with eight (8) accredited training programs, including the four (4) pillars in the residency training programs, namely: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics-Gynecology.
The DDH team, headed by Chief Operating Officer Mirasol B. Tiu, expressed their willingness to allow DDH to serve in this capacity. The two parties agreed that the next step would be to draft a memorandum of agreement to flesh out the details of the partnership.
