Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao administered oaths of office to new UP Mindanao appointees at the Flag Ceremony on February 2, 2026. University Researcher Marilou O. Montiflor, PhD, took her oath as director of the Office of Research for the term January to December 2026. Assoc. Prof. Marion John Michael Achondo took his oath as department chair of the Department of Biological Science and Environmental Studies (DBSES), and Assoc. Prof. Emmeline Jamondiong and Dr. Lynn B. Redoble, likewise, took their oaths as new DBSES faculty members. College of Science and Mathematics Dean Cleto Nanola Jr., Human Resource Chief Lynda Buenaobra, administrative personnel, and unit heads witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.
