UP Mindanao students, faculty, and staff benefited from a Stress Management Session brought in by Unilab Corporation, in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Office (HRDO), Office of Student Affairs, and the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO), at the UP Mindanao AVR and Mini-Theater on April 11, 2025.
The constituents were able to learn from mental health lectures and avail of free psychiatric health consultations, bone density and anemia testing, and medicine discount opportunities facilitated by the Unilab group.

As part of the lecture series, the UPMin constituents answered diagnostic questions to assess mental health and stress levels. Everyone agreed that a healthy stress level is beneficial to motivating actions. However, that stress can be debilitating when it expands beyond control.
The consultations allowed the university constituents to experience a psychiatric consultation with a psychiatric health professional and get feedback towards healing mental distress.
Human Resource Chief Lynda Buenaobra thanked the doctors, saying, “The insights and care you’ve extended today have brought light to challenges many of us silently face. You have empowered us to take the first steps towards greater awareness, resilience, and well-being.”
The psychiatric and general practice physicians who participated were Romny Joyce Espanto, Aisa Francisco-Masacupan, Margaret Gecale, Al Anthony Tating, Petrose Enobio, Elizabeth Pague, and Sophia Galido.
The TTBDO provided the participants with their Bite UP brand of pastries from the UP Mindanao Bakery for snacks.
