Bureau of Internal Revenue awards UPMin for being among top taxpayers

The Bureau of Internal Revenue – Revenue District Office (RDO) 113A West Davao awarded UP Mindanao with a Plaque of Recognition “as one of our valuable taxpayers, and for the unwavering support manifested in prompt and efficient payment of taxes for the taxable year 2024, significantly contributing to the increase in tax collection of the Revenue District Office and the entire Revenue Region No. 19.”

BIR officer Veronica T. Estremos handed the award to UP Mindanao Chancellor Lyre Anni E. Murao in a simple ceremony at the UP Mindanao Gaisano Room on April 7, 2025.

UP Mindanao was ranked #9 among the National Government Agencies within the coverage of RDO 113A, which covers part of Davao City District 1 and all of District 3.

“As partners in nation-building, the Bureau is deeply grateful for the gesture of cooperation and patriotism,” stated the plaque’s text, which was signed by Revenue District Officer Eliezer O. Deligero and OIC-Regional Director Narciso T. Laguerta.
