UP Mindanao and its units earned a recommendation for the maintenance of its ISO 9001:2015 certification from TÜV-SÜD Asia Pacific TÜV-SÜD Group after Auditor Marijane Comaling and Technical Expert Christian Louie Cuahong completed the on-site Surveillance Audit carried out from November 17 to 19, 2025.
“The requirements of the standard have been satisfied for the `Provision of University Administrative, Academic, Research, and Extension Services’,” stated Auditor Comaling at the Closing Program on November 19, 2025.
Auditor Comaling also gave some observations classified as Opportunities for Improvement and Minor Nonconformities, for appropriate actions. “Certificate maintenance is recommended after the acceptance of the corrective action plans,” she said. “Congratulations!”
The requirements of the Standard under certification and audit included UP Mindanao´s documented information and the regulations of the certification body. These include conformity of the management system with the audit criteria, compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements, effectiveness of the management system to meet client objectives, responsibility for the university´s policies, operational control of processes, and areas for potential improvement.
UP Mindanao earned its ISO 9001:2015 certification in December 2024 and will be scheduled for a second surveillance audit in 2026.
