New Student Regent (SR) Dexter Clemente, who has been on campus, shared their OSR Updates with the UP Mindanao Management Committee at its meeting on November 10, 2025.
SR Clemente was introduced by UPMin University Student Council (USC) Chairperson Lara Felescoso, the student representative to the ManCom, who preceded SR Clemente with her USC Updates. Chairperson Felescoso shared the USC’s International Students Day plans, the Pailaw and Kasadya festivities’ updates, a campus settler’s concern, the Tagbo leadership camp concerns, and their Piapi fire survivors’ donation drive, to name a few.
Student Regent Clemente’s OSR Updates included papers filed with the UP Board of Regents (BOR), the current OSR campaign, and inputs from OSR Ikot’s UPMin college consultations. Among their filed BOR papers are the anti-red tagging resolution and a proposed student-centered and scientific disaster response framework for UP.
SR Clemente’s OSR Campaign included the RCDG’s relocation and the creation of the Academic Freedom Committee, and among the OSR Ikot’s issues raised included the Tagbo concerns.
The UPMin ManCom responded with some clarifications and commitment to act on the issues and concerns.
