ACIAR’s Inclusive Value Chain project partners meet in UPMin

The agribusiness-led inclusive value chain project (IVC Philippines) team members and partner farmers visited UP Mindanao on March 27, 2025. Despite engaging with the IVC Philippines since 2022, it was the first time for the partner farmers and Municipal Agriculturist Office representative from Lebak and Kalamansig in Sultan Kudarat to enter the university. They were in Davao City for a 3-day exposure Trip (March 25-27) as part of their Organizational Strengthening Training. The seven-module training started in July 2024 in Sultan Kudarat.

They were joined by team members from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Foodlink Advocacy Cooperative, Australian National University, University of the Philippines Los Baños, and University of the Philippines Mindanao for a photo opportunity, facilitated by the Public Relations Office.

The project team members proceeded to have a courtesy call with Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Maria Stella R. Salazar. Afterward, they re-joined the farmers for the culminating activity in Malagos Garden Resort.

This Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR)-funded project commenced in August 2021 and ends in July 2025. For more information, check the project’s website https://upmin-ivcphil.up.edu.ph/.
